1. Should the agent I choose be accredited ?

Yes, In Rugby League & Rugby Union,  a player can only be represented by an Accredited Agent.  Accredited Agents are bound by the  code of ethics, this scheme is endorsed by the NRL, the ARU and the major bodies within each organisation.

• A thorough understanding of the player's contract regarding the rules and code of conduct
• An understanding of and an adherence to the Accredited Agents Ethics, rules and code of conduct

6. What sort of information should I request from a potential Player Agent ?

• What is your background in sport and how experienced are you in dealing with athletes?
• What do you know about me personally? Have you seen me compete?
• How would you handle a situation where you manage other athletes that compete in my position?
• As an athlete, what are my roles and responsibilities in this relationship?
