BYRON CANNON
Byron is a Director of Ferguson Cannon Lawyers, a prominent law firm on the Sunshine Coast. He is also an accredited agent with the NRL and Rugby Union Players Association.
Byron was born on the Sunshine Coast and attended schooling in Central Queensland. He graduated from the Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) in 1997. Later that year he was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and in February 1998 was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia.
Byron is a Director of Operation Smile Australia Limited, which is a not for profit charity organisation that provides cranio facial surgery to children in third world countries, along with educating surgeons from third world countries. He is also a director of the Harcourts Foundation (Australia) which is a not for profit charity established by the Harcourts Real Estate Group.
Byron’s personal interests include spending time with his family and sports of all kinds. Byron is passionate
about sport. He is also the treasurer of the Sunshine Coast Sports Business taskforce and is a committee member of the Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Supporters Club.

MARK BUNTING
Mark Bunting is a Director of Leading Edge Consultancy Service, a multi facet company which helps its clients with many day to day functions
Mark was born and educated in Brisbane. After studying in Brisbane, he moved to Rockhampton where he worked at Rockhampton Grammar School and later St Brendan’s College where he spent 16 years as the Sportsmaster. His interest is assisting clients with their day to day welfare.
Mark is a member of the Institute of Sports Managers and is an accredited Mortgage Broker.
Mark is heavily involved with rugby league being a member of numerous committees and is a qualified rugby league and soccer referee. He enjoys working with younger clients in establishing not only a successful sports career, but also a fulfilling and enjoyable life outside of sport.
SCOTT MAGUIRE
Scott is Head of Sport at Padua College in Brisbane.
Scott was born in Sydney and attended schooling in Brisbane. He graduated from Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Teaching Physical Education and Bachelor of Education. He is currently studying a Masters of Business Administration Sports Management through Deakin University.
Scott has been heavily involved in Rugby League as a player and coach for over 25 years. For the past ten years he has been Head Coach of the 1st XIII at Padua College in Brisbane. In recent years Padua has produced such players as Dane Carlaw, David Stagg and David Shillington. Additionally, Scott has coached the First XV and has chaired AIC Selction meetings for the Queensland Schoolboy Rugby Union Championships. He currently holds a Level II Coaching Accreditation for Rugby League and Rugby Union. Scott throughly enjoys working with young athletes to reach their real potential. He recognizes that ability coupled with a strong character and work ethic is important for success.
During his playing career, predominantely with Brisbane Brothers, Scott played over 200 BRL or Queensland Cup matches. He also represented Queensland Residents and the Brisbane Capitols.
TONY PATTINSON
Tony is a Director of Ferguson Cannon Lawyers, a prominent law firm on the Sunshine Coast.
Tony has lived on the Sunshine Coast all his life. He is admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia and Legal Practitioner in New South Wales. He currently holds the elected position of Council Member of the Queensland Law Society and is the President of the Sunshine Coast Law Association. He is also a volunteer for the Sunshine Coast Community Legal Centre and sits on the Sunshine coast Rugby Union Judiciary.
Tony is passionate about sports, in particular football. Growing up Tony played football on the Sunshine Coast and was regularly selected for and captained representative teams. As a Solicitor and avid football follower he enjoys acting as agent for football players at various levels and nationalities.
